Product Introduction :

A fully automatic centering and Plunge Facing Machines is a machine tool used to create a conical hole in the end of a cylindrical workpiece and then face the end of the workpiece so that it is perpendicular to the axis of the hole. This process is commonly used to prepare workpieces for further machining operations such as turning, milling and drilling. These machines are typically equipped with two heads viz. a centering head and a facing head. The centering head is used to drill the conical hole, while the facing head is used to face the end of the workpiece. The machine is also equipped with a hydraulic system that controls the movement of the heads and the workpiece.
Usually, the workpiece gets loaded into the machine and clamped, then subsequently, the centering head moves forward and drills the conical hole in the end of the workpiece. Thereafter, the facing head moves forward and faces the end of the workpiece. After the operational part, the workpiece gets unloaded. This entire process is controlled by a computer program which makes it very efficient and accurate. Fully automatic centering and Plunge Facing Machines are used in a wide variety of industries including automotive, electronics and others. They are particularly well suited for high volume production applications.
